Bez pokory jsme v nebezpe\u010d\u00ed pod\u0159\u00eddit Boha na\u0161emu my\u0161len\u00ed a na\u0161\u00ed v\u016fli.<br \/>\n\/&#8230;\/<\/p>\n<p>Duchovn\u00ed \u017eivot znamenal pro d\u0159\u00edv\u011bj\u0161\u00ed mnichy tak\u00e9 um\u011bn\u00ed zdrav\u00e9ho \u017eivota. Nebylo n\u00e1hodou, \u017ee se mni\u0161i do\u017e\u00edvali vysok\u00e9ho v\u011bku. Jejich askeze nepop\u00edrala \u017eivot, ale rozv\u00edjela jej. Dietetiku, um\u011bn\u00ed zdrav\u00e9ho \u017eivota, kter\u00e1 byla pro antickou medic\u00ednu nejd\u016fle\u017eit\u011bj\u0161\u00edm \u00fakolem, p\u0159evzali mni\u0161i pro sv\u016fj duchovn\u00ed \u017eivot. Duchovn\u00ed cestu ch\u00e1pali jako um\u011bn\u00ed zdrav\u00e9ho \u017eivota. Nen\u00ed mo\u017en\u00fd zdrav\u00fd \u017eivot bez zdrav\u00e9ho \u017eivotn\u00edho stylu. Pochopiteln\u011b se nejedn\u00e1 o n\u00e1siln\u00fd \u0159\u00e1d, kter\u00e9mu se \u010dlov\u011bk mus\u00ed pod\u0159\u00eddit, ale o zdrav\u00fd \u017eivotn\u00ed styl, kter\u00fd zachov\u00e1v\u00e1 t\u011blo i du\u0161i zdrav\u00e9. Tento \u017eivotn\u00ed styl mnich\u016f se t\u00fdk\u00e1 rozd\u011blen\u00ed \u010dasu, v\u00fd\u017eivy, pr\u00e1ce, bydlen\u00ed a vyjasn\u011bn\u00e9ho vztahu ke sv\u00e9mu p\u0159edstaven\u00e9mu.<br \/>\nJist\u011b dnes nem\u016f\u017eeme napodobovat \u017eivot star\u00fdch mnich\u016f. Ale z\u00e1kladn\u00ed tezi, \u017ee vn\u011bj\u0161\u00ed \u0159\u00e1d n\u00e1m p\u0159in\u00e1\u0161\u00ed i vnit\u0159n\u00ed po\u0159\u00e1dek, \u017ee zdrav\u00fd \u017eivotn\u00ed styl uzdravuje i du\u0161i, m\u016f\u017eeme i dnes sv\u00fdm \u017eivotem napl\u0148ovat.<\/p>\n<p>V d\u011bjin\u00e1ch mni\u0161stv\u00ed popisuje zdrav\u00fd \u017eivotn\u00ed styl hlavn\u011b Benedikt. Pro n\u011bj byly jasn\u00e9 struktury \u017eivota, pr\u00e1ce, spole\u010denstv\u00ed i moci rozhoduj\u00edc\u00ed pro uzdraven\u00ed lidstva. A i kdy\u017e Benedikt zam\u00fd\u0161lel sv\u016fj \u0159\u00e1d jen pro mal\u00e9 spole\u010denstv\u00ed, stal se z n\u011bj faktor, kter\u00fd ovlivnil celou Evropu. A mal\u00e1 spole\u010denstv\u00ed, kter\u00e1 podle tohoto \u0159\u00e1du \u017eila, se stala pramenem kultury  cel\u00e9ho tehdej\u0161\u00edho k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9ho sv\u011bta. Kultura je zformovan\u00fd \u017eivot. Kdy\u017e mu d\u00e1v\u00e1m podobu, kter\u00e1 mi odpov\u00edd\u00e1 a kter\u00e1 mi p\u016fsob\u00ed dobro, tak m\u00e1m sou\u010dasn\u011b i radost ze \u017eivota. M\u00e1m pocit, \u017ee \u017eiji sv\u016fj \u017eivot j\u00e1 s\u00e1m, a \u017ee nejsem jen pasivn\u00edm objektem \u017eivota. Je to m\u016fj styl, jak vst\u00e1v\u00e1m, jak za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1m den, jak jdu do pr\u00e1ce, jak ob\u011bdv\u00e1m a jak den uzav\u00edr\u00e1m. Zdrav\u00fd \u017eivotn\u00ed styl pot\u0159ebuje zdrav\u00e9 ritu\u00e1ly. Kdy\u017e na sv\u00e9 ritu\u00e1ly ned\u00e1v\u00e1m pozor, vpl\u00ed\u017e\u00ed se bezd\u011b\u010dn\u011b ritu\u00e1ly  nezdrav\u00e9 &#8211; a dokonce takov\u00e9, kter\u00e9 p\u016fsob\u00ed nemoc &#8211; nap\u0159\u00edklad, \u017ee se do nov\u00e9ho dne  v\u0159\u00edt\u00edme, sn\u00eddani jen zhltneme, v\u017edy p\u0159ijdeme pozd\u011b atd. Zdrav\u00e9 ritu\u00e1ly m\u011b p\u0159iv\u00e1d\u011bj\u00ed do \u0159\u00e1du a p\u016fsob\u00ed mi radost z toho, \u017ee si s\u00e1m utv\u00e1\u0159\u00edm sv\u016fj \u017eivot.<br \/>\nErhard Kastner popisuje ob\u0159ady, kter\u00e9 pozoroval na ho\u0159e Athos: \u201eVedle \u00fasil\u00ed z\u00edskat sv\u011bt, je \u010dlov\u011bka i vrozen\u00e1 snaha utv\u00e1\u0159et z prastar\u00fdch  forem to st\u00e1le stejn\u00e9.
