P\u0159i t\u00e9 p\u0159\u00edle\u017eitosti p\u0159ipojujeme tip na ned\u00e1vno vydanou \u017eivotopisnou knihu Joanne Mosleyov\u00e9 <strong><em>Edita Steinov\u00e1 jako \u017eena modlitby<\/em><\/strong> (Kosteln\u00ed Vyd\u0159\u00ed 2011). Recenze, kterou zde p\u0159etiskujeme, vy\u0161la v upraven\u00e9 podob\u011b v Katolick\u00e9m t\u00fdden\u00edku 41\/2011 v p\u0159\u00edloze Perspektivy.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>\u010cesk\u00fd \u010dten\u00e1\u0159 dost\u00e1v\u00e1 do ruky dal\u0161\u00ed \u010dtiv\u00fd \u017eivotopis jedn\u00e9 z nejzaj\u00edmav\u011bj\u0161\u00edch sv\u011bdk\u016f d\u011bjin a svatosti dvac\u00e1t\u00e9ho stolet\u00ed, karmelitky a filozofky Edith Steinov\u00e9. Po poutav\u00e9m portr\u00e9tu z pera Marie Amaty Neyer a kolektivn\u00edm d\u00edle Vzpom\u00ednky na Editu Steinovou tak m\u00e1me mo\u017enost pohl\u00e9dnout na tuto \u017eidovskou konvertitku a mu\u010dednici o\u010dima anglick\u00e9 novin\u00e1\u0159ky, kter\u00e1 byla jej\u00ed osobnost\u00ed fascinov\u00e1na natolik, \u017ee j\u00ed v\u011bnovala \u0159adu studi\u00ed a p\u0159edn\u00e1\u0161ek.<\/p>\n<p>Mosleyov\u00e1 usiluje vytvo\u0159it jak\u00fdsi \u201educhovn\u00ed \u017eivotopis\u201c Edith Steinov\u00e9, sna\u017e\u00ed se p\u0159edstavit vnit\u0159n\u00ed \u017eivot t\u00e9to nev\u0161edn\u00ed \u017eeny. Ukazuje, jak byl prosycen modlitbou, kter\u00e1 se stala hybnou silou jej\u00edho jedn\u00e1n\u00ed dlouho p\u0159ed t\u00edm, ne\u017e se z n\u011bmecky p\u00ed\u0161\u00edc\u00ed filozofky stala \u0159eholn\u00ed sestra. Zat\u00edmco prvn\u00ed \u010d\u00e1st p\u0159edstavuje jednotliv\u00e9 etapy \u017eivota Edith Steinov\u00e9, druh\u00e1 se soust\u0159ed\u00ed na v\u00fdznamn\u00e9 postavy jej\u00edho vnit\u0159n\u00edho \u017eivota a jejich m\u00edsto v modlitb\u011b (Je\u017e\u00ed\u0161, Marie, biblick\u00e1 Ester, karmel\u0161t\u00ed sv\u011btci).<\/p>\n<p>Do stylu knihy se dle m\u00e9ho n\u00e1zoru v\u00fdrazn\u011b prom\u00edtla p\u016fvodn\u00ed profese autorky knihy. Neboj\u00ed se sugestivn\u00edch obraz\u016f a emo\u010dn\u011b siln\u00fdch v\u00fdraz\u016f p\u0159i popisu rann\u00fdch etap Editiny cesty do hlubin k\u0159es\u0165ansk\u00e9 modlitby: \u201epro konvertitku byl tedy kl\u00e1\u0161ter ve \u0160p\u00fdru \u00fapln\u00fdm r\u00e1jem! Byla tu k dispozici kaple, v n\u00ed\u017e Edita tr\u00e1vila hodinu r\u00e1no, voln\u00e9 chv\u00edle mezi vyu\u010dovac\u00edmi hodinami a n\u011bkolik hodin v noci! Zjemnilo to jej\u00ed charakter, nau\u010dila se l\u00e9pe ovl\u00e1dat a objevovala v sob\u011b takovou hloubku, \u017ee ji to samotnou p\u0159ekvapovalo.\u201c O Editin\u011b pedagogick\u00e9 \u010dinnosti Mosleyov\u00e1 mj. p\u00ed\u0161e: \u201ePovzbuzovala plach\u00e9 pomalej\u0161\u00ed studenty, velmi r\u00e1zn\u011b v\u0161ak dovedla usadit ty namy\u0161len\u00e9. Byla zt\u011blesn\u011bn\u00edm ver\u0161e z Janova evangelia: \u201e\u2026pravda v\u00e1s osvobod\u00ed\u201c (s. 29). Proto\u017ee m\u00e1 j\u00edt o \u010dten\u00e1\u0159sky vd\u011b\u010dnou knihu, m\u016f\u017ee si autorka dovolit formulovat vnit\u0159n\u00ed stavy zp\u016fsobem, jako to \u010din\u00ed p\u0159i popisu Editiny cessty na Karmel: \u201eO V\u00e1noc\u00edch roku 1932 se kone\u010dn\u011b n\u011bco zm\u011bnilo. Temn\u00e1 noc za\u010dala ustupovat a objevily se prvn\u00ed slune\u010dn\u00ed paprsky.\u201c (s. 34).<\/p>\n<p>Sama Edith Steinov\u00e1 o sv\u00fdch spiritu\u00e1ln\u00edch zku\u0161enostech p\u0159\u00edli\u0161 nemluvila, d\u016fle\u017eit\u00e9 obsahy jej\u00ed osobn\u00ed vnit\u0159n\u00ed zku\u0161enosti je t\u0159eba hledat p\u0159edev\u0161\u00edm mezi \u0159\u00e1dky jej\u00edch spis\u016f. Interpretace kl\u00ed\u010dov\u00fdch m\u00edst a podstatn\u00fdch krok\u016f jej\u00ed duchovn\u00ed cesty se li\u0161\u00ed podle vnit\u0159n\u00edho sv\u011bta toho kter\u00e9ho pisatele i \u010dten\u00e1\u0159e. M\u00edsty m\u016f\u017ee publikovan\u00fd \u017eivotopis probouzet ur\u010dit\u00e9 otazn\u00edky, nap\u0159. zda Edita vyu\u010dovala opravdu tak nerada, jak \u010dten\u00e1\u0159i p\u0159edkl\u00e1d\u00e1 Mosleyov\u00e1 na s. 29, p\u0159\u00edpadn\u011b zda Steinov\u00e1 skute\u010dn\u011b \u201eneoblomn\u011b trvala na tom, \u017ee bos\u00ed jsou pouze odno\u017e\u00ed\u201c karmelit\u00e1nsk\u00e9ho \u0159\u00e1du (na s. 127 \u2013 podobn\u00e1 m\u00edsta v knize nazna\u010duj\u00ed, \u017ee autorce je bli\u017e\u0161\u00ed spiritualita obut\u00fdch karmelit\u00e1n\u016f). Ale tato dle m\u00e9ho n\u00e1zoru (nutn\u011b) subjektivn\u00ed interpretace je sou\u010dasn\u011b i silnou str\u00e1nkou knihy, kter\u00e1 \u010dten\u00e1\u0159i otev\u00edr\u00e1 ne\u010dekan\u00e9 n\u00e1hledy na \u017eivotn\u00ed osud t\u00e9to sv\u011btice a n\u011bkter\u00e1 t\u00e9mata, kter\u00e1 jsme p\u0159i \u010detb\u011b ostatn\u00edch \u017eivotopis\u016f mohli p\u0159ehl\u00e9dnout. Plat\u00ed to nap\u0159. pro l\u00ed\u010den\u00ed rodinn\u00e9ho konfliktu, k n\u011bmu\u017e do\u0161lo po Editin\u011b konverzi ke katolictv\u00ed, je\u017e bylo zbytkem jej\u00ed rodiny pova\u017eov\u00e1no za zradu rodinn\u00fdch tradic. Tak\u00e9 nad\u0161en\u00ed konvertitky, kter\u00e9 podle anglick\u00e9 novin\u00e1\u0159ky Editu Steinovou vedlo k do\u010dasn\u00e9mu \u00fastupu od filozofie k p\u0159ev\u00e1\u017en\u011b st\u0159edo\u0161kolsk\u00e9 pedagogick\u00e9 \u010dinnosti a odtud zp\u011bt k obratu, \u017ee Bohu lze slou\u017eit i v\u011bdou se nab\u00edz\u00ed minim\u00e1ln\u011b jako dobr\u00fd podn\u011bt k dal\u0161\u00edmu \u010dten\u00e1\u0159ovu prom\u00fd\u0161len\u00ed. Podobn\u011b pozn\u00e1mka o tom, \u017ee filozofka byla nejprve odm\u00edtnuta na Karmelu ve Wurzburgu (teprve po letech znovu \u017e\u00e1dala o vstup na kol\u00ednsk\u00fd Karmel, kam byla posl\u00e9ze p\u0159ijata) a jej\u00ed n\u00e1sledn\u00fd dopis polsk\u00e9mu badateli Romanu Ingardenovi vzbuzuj\u00ed zv\u011bdavost a chu\u0165 dohledat si v pat\u0159i\u010dn\u00fdch pramenech dal\u0161\u00ed podrobnosti z jej\u00edho \u017eivota.<\/p>\n<p>Na z\u00e1v\u011br je t\u0159eba dodat, \u017ee si v \u010cech\u00e1ch rozhodn\u011b nem\u016f\u017eeme st\u011b\u017eovat na ukvapenost ve vyd\u00e1v\u00e1n\u00ed spis\u016f t\u00e9to karmelsk\u00e9 sv\u011btice, kter\u00e1 se stala spolupatronkou Evropy. Z jej\u00edch v\u011bt\u0161\u00edch d\u011bl byla p\u0159elo\u017eena dosud jen V\u011bda k\u0159\u00ed\u017ee. M\u00e1me tedy vedle n\u00ed k dispozici vedle p\u00e1r drobn\u00fdch v\u00fdbor\u016f a krat\u0161\u00edch studi\u00ed o t\u00e9to filozofce tak\u00e9 dal\u0161\u00ed podn\u011btn\u00fd \u017eivotopis, kter\u00fd snad pom\u016f\u017ee p\u0159ipravit p\u016fdu pro budouc\u00ed kompletn\u00ed vyd\u00e1n\u00ed jej\u00edch d\u011bl.<\/p>\n<p>Otev\u0159enost a schopnost vc\u00edt\u011bn\u00ed Editu Steinovou postupn\u011b p\u0159ivedla k touze po pozn\u00e1n\u00ed Boha a odtud ke kontemplativn\u00edmu \u017eivotu a k modlitb\u011b a ob\u011bti za lidi bez ohledu na jejich n\u00e1rodnost \u010di n\u00e1bo\u017eenskou p\u0159\u00edslu\u0161nost. V kontemplaci nach\u00e1zela odpov\u011bdi na pot\u0159eby a \u00fazkosti sv\u00e9 doby a zdroj hlubok\u00e9 solidarity se sv\u011btem, jeho\u017e byla sou\u010d\u00e1st\u00ed. K\u00e9\u017e n\u00e1m tedy jej\u00ed osud z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 inspirac\u00ed k podobn\u00e9 odvaze j\u00edt do hloubky na na\u0161ich vlastn\u00edch duchovn\u00edch cest\u00e1ch.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">\u00a0-sd-<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">*\u00a0\u00a0 *\u00a0\u00a0 *<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<em>\u201ePostupn\u011b jsem se v\u0161ak nau\u010dila ch\u00e1pat, \u017ee v tomto sv\u011bt\u011b se po n\u00e1s po\u017eaduje n\u011bco jin\u00e9ho a \u017ee i v tom nejkontemplativn\u011bj\u0161\u00edm \u017eivot\u011b se nesm\u00ed p\u0159eru\u0161it spojen\u00ed se sv\u011btem. Dokonce si mysl\u00edm, \u017ee \u010d\u00edm hloub\u011bji je \u010dlov\u011bk vta\u017een do Boha, t\u00edm v\u00edc mus\u00ed tak\u00e9 v tomto smyslu \u201evyj\u00edt ze sebe\u201c, tj. do sv\u011bta, aby do n\u011bho vn\u00e1\u0161el bo\u017esk\u00fd \u017eivot.\u201c<\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">\u00a0* * *<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<em>\u201eZdi na\u0161ich kl\u00e1\u0161ter\u016f vymezuj\u00ed pouze mal\u00fd prostor.
