T\u00edm se v\u0161ak nemohou omlouvat ti, kte\u0159\u00ed jsou vedouc\u00edmi kl\u00e1\u0161tern\u00edho spole\u010denstv\u00ed, proto\u017ee oni mus\u00ed b\u00fdt v duchovn\u00edch v\u011bcech zku\u0161en\u00ed, aby moud\u0159e rozpt\u00fdlili eventueln\u00ed pochybnosti sv\u00fdch sv\u011b\u0159enc\u016f. Kdy\u017e p\u0159echodn\u011b p\u0159ijdou k sob\u011b, t\u00e1\u017e\u00ed se sv\u00e9ho v\u011bdom\u00ed, odkud p\u0159i\u0161lo, co d\u011blalo a co zakusilo. Neobdr\u017e\u00ed v\u0161ak \u017e\u00e1dnou odpov\u011b\u010f. Tento zp\u016fsob kontemplace je velmi dobr\u00fd pro pokro\u010dil\u00e9, u nich\u017e se m\u016f\u017ee vyvinout a\u017e k norm\u00e1ln\u00edmu zp\u016fsob jej\u00edch modlitby. Ale pr\u00e1v\u011b ti se mis\u00ed zvl\u00e1\u0161\u0165 chr\u00e1nit sv\u011btsk\u00fdch z\u00e1jm\u016f a \u010dinnost\u00ed.<\/p>\n<p>Kone\u010dn\u011b je tu jin\u00fd zp\u016fsob usebranosti, p\u0159i n\u00ed\u017e se du\u0161e uzav\u0159e do t\u011bla jako do pevn\u00e9 schr\u00e1nky a t\u011b\u0161\u00ed se \u017ee sv\u00e9ho vlastn\u00edho duchovn\u00edho tepla, zpro\u0161t\u011bna v\u0161ech sv\u00fdch p\u011bti smysl\u016f, jako by jich ani nebylo. P\u0159i tom nech\u00e1pe nic, co by se dalo vyj\u00e1d\u0159it \u0159e\u010d\u00ed, n\u00fdbr\u017e je spokojena podobn\u011b, jako mal\u00e9 d\u00edt\u011b ukonej\u0161en\u00e9 na mat\u010din\u00fdch prsou, a necht\u011blo by u\u017e m\u00edt nic, co by je mohlo odpoutat, ani o\u010di, ani u\u0161i, ani dve\u0159e, kudy by mohlo odej\u00edt.<\/p>\n<p>P\u0159i t\u011bchto zp\u016fsobech usebr\u00e1n\u00ed neml\u010d\u00ed rozum tak, \u017ee by byl dokonale ne\u010dinn\u00fd. V\u017edy ho z\u016fst\u00e1v\u00e1 jisk\u0159i\u010dka, pr\u00e1v\u011b dostate\u010dn\u00e1, aby modl\u00edc\u00ed se zpozoroval, \u017ee n\u011bco zakou\u0161\u00ed, toti\u017e Boha. Tak\u017ee rozum ti\u0161e a klidn\u011b pozoruje, co se d\u011bje a je ne\u010dinn\u00fd jen zd\u00e1nliv\u011b. Du\u0161e naproti tomu by necht\u011bla ani to, chce sp\u00ed\u0161e um\u0159\u00edt a zcela se v P\u00e1nu ztratit. A tak jsou okam\u017eiky, p\u0159i nich\u017e se zda, \u017ee je rozum zcela vy\u0159azen, jakoby du\u0161e nebyla ani duchovn\u00ed podstatou. Ale pak objev\u00ed op\u011bt \u017eivou jisk\u0159i\u010dku jednoduch\u00e9ho v\u011bd\u011bn\u00ed a je podivuhodn\u00e9, jak\u00e9 v tomto vy\u0159azen\u00e9m my\u0161len\u00ed dostala v\u011bt\u0161\u00ed milosti. Ona to c\u00edt\u00ed, kdy\u017e se op\u011bt vr\u00e1t\u00ed do \u017eivota a vystoup\u00ed z mlhy, ale nev\u00ed, kde a jak tuto milost obdr\u017eela. A aby dostala je\u0161t\u011b v\u00edce, cht\u011bla by op\u011bt pono\u0159it a u\u017e nechce ni\u010demu rozum\u011bt, znovu se potop\u00ed do hlubok\u00e9 vody a vystoup\u00ed op\u011bt vzh\u016fru k vytou\u017een\u00e9mu mil\u00e1\u010dkovi. P\u0159itom du\u0161e nec\u00edt\u00ed jak plyne \u010das a jedna hodina je pro ni jako vzdech. N\u011bkdy, ani\u017e by v\u011bd\u011bla pro\u010d a jak, chce j\u00ed t\u00e9to zku\u0161enost ze srdce uniknout; tehdy nen\u00ed jin\u00e9ho prost\u0159edku k jej\u00edmu zadr\u017een\u00ed, ne\u017e znovu se hluboce usebrat.<\/p>\n<p>Ob\u010das dostane pokro\u010dil\u00fd v kontemplaci tolik milosti, \u017ee m\u016f\u017ee sou\u010dasn\u011b i n\u011bco myslet. Kdy\u017e se t\u00edm v\u0161ak v\u00edc ne\u017e je vhodn\u00e9 rozpt\u00fdl\u00ed, zmiz\u00ed milost a nech\u00e1 ho s jeho my\u0161lenkami samotn\u00e9ho. Proto je l\u00e9pe p\u0159ij\u00edmat Boha potaj\u00ed a jako potm\u011b, v\u017edy\u0165 On je milovn\u00edk samoty a skr\u00fdv\u00e1 se v temnu. Mus\u00ed\u0161 uv\u00e9st svou p\u0159edstavivost do klidu a sv\u016fj rozum v ml\u010den\u00ed a nedovolit mu \u017e\u00e1dnou \u010dinnost, a\u0165 je jakk\u00e1koliv. I kdy\u017e s\u00e1m poc\u00edt\u00ed\u0161, \u017ee se ti P\u00e1n za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 sd\u011blovat, nem\u00e1\u0161 mu \u0159\u00edkat \u017e\u00e1dn\u00e1 slova l\u00e1sky ani tehdy, kdy\u017e se ti zdaj\u00ed dobr\u00e1 a du\u0161e se z toho raduje. Je lep\u0161\u00ed, aby ses st\u00e1le hloub\u011bji soust\u0159e\u010foval a pono\u0159oval; nebo\u0165 naplnit srdce znamen\u00e1 Boha obj\u00edmat, co\u017e se d\u011bje nejl\u00e9pe l\u00e1skou.
