Otec pohrd\u00e1 synem. Syn nen\u00e1vid\u00ed otce. Karin v\u0161ak miluj\u00ed oba, stejn\u011b jako oba milovali jej\u00ed mrtvou matku. L\u00e1skou, kter\u00e1 nespojuje, n\u00fdbr\u017e rozd\u011bluje&#8230;<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Dominantou sc\u00e9ny je d\u016fm sestaven\u00fd z kovov\u00e9 konstrukce, metafora v\u011bzen\u00ed, klece, vz\u00e1jemn\u00e9ho manipulov\u00e1n\u00ed. Uvnit\u0159 se kr\u010d\u00ed je\u0161t\u011b jeden mal\u00fd &#8222;\u0161moul\u00ed&#8220; dome\u010dek jako pro panenky, v n\u011bm\u017e Henrik zneu\u017e\u00edv\u00e1 svou dceru. Jednoduch\u00fdm pohybem se kovov\u00fd d\u016fm prom\u011bn\u00ed v kostel, ve kter\u00e9m zav\u011b\u0161en\u00fd Henrik, krv\u00e1cej\u00edc\u00ed z \u010dela, symbolizuje Krista. Bergman i zde reflektoval sv\u00e1 \u00fast\u0159edn\u00ed t\u00e9mata &#8211; samotu, um\u00edr\u00e1n\u00ed, smrt, Bo\u017e\u00ed ml\u010den\u00ed. Johan se pokou\u0161\u00ed hledat Boha usilovn\u00fdm \u010dten\u00edm Swedenborga, hudebn\u00ed v\u011bdec Henrik p\u00ed\u0161e knihu o Bachov\u00fdch Janov\u00fdch Pa\u0161ij\u00edch. A re\u017eis\u00e9r Pokorn\u00fd Bergman\u016fv z\u00e1m\u011br je\u0161t\u011b zesiluje, na sc\u00e9n\u011b se vr\u0161\u00ed d\u0159ev\u011bn\u00e9 houby (doslovn\u00fd symbol houbovitosti) s no\u017ei\u010dkami ostr\u00fdmi jako hrot, kter\u00e9 se zabod\u00e1vaj\u00ed nejen do st\u011bn a podlahy, ale slou\u017e\u00ed i jako h\u0159eb\u00edk, kter\u00fdm se na st\u0159echu &#8222;dome\u010dku pro panenky&#8220; p\u0159ib\u00edj\u00ed tv\u00e1\u0159 mrtv\u00e9 Karininy matky Anny. T\u00edmto h\u0159ebem si ne\u0161\u0165astn\u00fd Henrik rozdr\u00e1s\u00e1 ruku a svou krv\u00ed podep\u00ed\u0161e Johanovi \u00fapis&#8230; To v\u0161e za doprovodu Dvo\u0159\u00e1kova Requiem.<\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\">Inscenace bol\u00ed, zad\u00edr\u00e1 se hluboko do srdce, ale pr\u00e1v\u011b proto stoj\u00ed za shl\u00e9dnut\u00ed. Na konci je otev\u0159en\u00fd prostor pro nad\u011bji. Karin se dok\u00e1\u017ee vymanit z vlivu sv\u00e9ho otce, odj\u00ed\u017ed\u00ed a za\u010d\u00edn\u00e1 \u017e\u00edt nov\u00fd \u017eivot. Jej\u00ed osvobozen\u00ed je symbolicky vyj\u00e1d\u0159eno odstran\u011bn\u00edm kovov\u00e9 klece. Henrik jej\u00ed odjezd neunese, zaleze si do dome\u010dku, v n\u011bm\u017e provede ne\u00fasp\u011b\u0161n\u00fd pokus o sebevra\u017edu. Ale nakonec i on dokon\u010d\u00ed sv\u00e9 Janovy pa\u0161ije. A Johan s Marianne si spolu naz\u00ed zalezou do pe\u0159in, a aby p\u0159ekonali strach, pevn\u011b se p\u0159itul\u00ed k sob\u011b.
